Employee Spotlight – Scott Allgood

Meet Scott Allgood, GIS Manager at Treaty Oak. We asked Scott to provide a brief bio, why he is interested in the industry, and what made Treaty Oak Clean Energy the right organization for him.

What is your background?

I have over 18 years working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the energy industry, focusing on upstream, midstream and renewables. Prior to joining Treaty Oak Clean Energy, I worked for Gulf Energy Information and EOG Resources. While working at Gulf Energy, I developed several ArcGIS Enterprise SaaS based products and databases which provided real-time market intelligence for data types such as Hydrogen, LNG, Pipelines and Renewable Assets for use in the energy, financial, logistical and government industries.

While working at EOG Resources, I managed a team that focused on developing multiple GIS enterprise analytical and decision support products including real-time and satellite imagery, drilling, production and upstream data.

Why are you interested in the renewable / clean energy industry?

Renewable energy is safe and does not create risks for people or the environment.  It is completely natural and cheaper than non-renewable resources.  By working in the renewables / clean energy at Treaty Oak, I’m helping to harness green power, reduce our carbon footprint and reduce air pollution.

What made Treaty Oak Clean Energy the right organization for you?

After several years in the energy industry, I felt it was time to use my skills and background to contribute to something that I believe in, renewables and clean energy. Also, the wealth of knowledge of the Treaty Oak team is unbelievable. Everyone is so focused towards the common goal of developing great projects.
