I have a substantial background in real estate including title, survey, and due diligence review; title insurance coverage, rules, and procedures; drafting and negotiating site control documents including restrictions and joint use agreements; and property development for the development, acquisition, construction, operation, and disposition of commercial property, including renewable projects. I have experience in working on renewable development projects from beginning to end, including performing due diligence and the title curative work. In addition, I worked with various energy companies to get energy projects through both the lending and tax equity process including amending leases and easements; entering into agreements related to crossing of driveways, streets, and pipelines with governmental entities and gas pipeline operators; and obtaining other documents from third parties (such as subordination agreements, consents, affidavits, etc.) related to the development and financing of a renewable projects.

Prior to joining Treaty Oak Clean Energy, I worked for RWE Renewables Americas, LLC, a large renewable company, managing, among other projects, solar and battery storage projects. Also, prior to my time at RWE Renewables, I practiced at Jackson Walker and Husch Blackwell, in their energy sectors and also held executive positions and served as in-house counsel to Republic Title of Texas, Inc. and Fidelity National Title.

Why are you interested in the renewable / clean energy industry?

Renewable energy can play a huge part in the United States’ energy security and in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Also, I think that it is important to have a diversified energy sector. Renewable energy is a huge part of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and this diversification. The advancements in technology for wind, solar and battery projects is remarkable. I am very interested in helping in the cause to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and diversify our energy assets and I take pride in being part of the renewable energy industry.

What made Treaty Oak Clean Energy the right organization for you?

I like the fact that at Treaty Oak Clean Energy everyone is invested and committed to making sure that the solar and battery projects are efficient and work. Also, what attracted me to Treaty Oak Clean Energy was the wealth of experience in and knowledge of renewable projects that everyone at Treaty Oak Clean Energy has. I look forward to learning from each party and I like that we are a team, all working to a common goal.
